It has been a long time since the release of Operation 4 and from that moment the information on Gears 5 has become less and less. There have been minor updates and some Mid-Operation characters, of course, but since the release, fans have always been interested in being kept up to date on the new content coming.
With the arrival of Microsoft's next-gen consoles, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, Gears 5 will receive a big update. The game will be updated to take advantage of the power of the new machines, allowing us to play the entire campaign in 4K at 60fps (in-game and cutscene) with all graphics settings set on "Ultra" quality, as well as implementing new features that in the version PCs are not yet available. The multiplayer modes will instead count on a frame-rate raised to 120fps (you need a monitor or TV that supports 120hz).
In addition to the graphic improvements, the game will have further features.
All this will be accompanied by the possibility of being able to choose our favorite skins of the characters, as in multiplayer. For example, we can use the “Outsider Kait” skin for the entire campaign. If we choose to use the “Batista” skin for Marcus Fenix, we will be able to hear the new dubbing recorded directly by Dave Bautista.
To further improve the bright future of Gears 5, The Coalition has revealed that it has worked on a new system to guarantee more maps and characters for each Operation. The fifth update will in fact introduce the map River, present in Gears 2 and in the alpha of Gears 3, a new one, as well as several maps taken from Gears of War 4. There will be nine characters introduced with the next update, including Tai Kaliso and probably Dizzy Wallin and Skorge. Unfortunately, however, the release date has not yet been announced.
The Coalition has finally officially announced the expansion of the campaign. "Hivebusters" will in fact see Team Scorpio, made up of Keegan, Mac and Lahni, face a new mission in the Galangi archipelago. This new campaign will last 3-4 hours and has been developed directly for Xbox Series X and S, allowing us to get our hands on the first real Gears next gen (it will be released in a downgraded version also on current consoles).
"Hivebusters" will be presented at the beginning of December, with a release scheduled for the same month. It has not yet been decided whether it will be released for a fee or included directly in the Game Pass Ultimate.
Also on November 10, 2020 Gears Tactics will arrive on Xbox consoles (Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S) with several new features. To facilitate the enjoyment of the game with the controller, The Coalition has decided to add a new mode called "Jacked" in which the bot of the main series will join the team to give us a valuable contribution on the field. Mouse and keyboard will still be compatible with the title.
Along with the new mode, additional classes of enemies enhanced with the Imulsion from the fearsome Ukkon will also be added. However, these Locusts will have a more traditional appearance than the Disciple and the Zealot.
That's all for now, although we are sure that very interesting news will arrive in the coming weeks. So keep following us!

A few days ago the web was filled with leaked images and two unreleased video gameplay directly taken from the very chat remastered version of the first chapter. An image in particular would show the pattern of commands with the Xbox One controller, which maintains the key assignment of the first original chapter.
The other image shows the start menu of a multiplayer match, where you can select the character and weapons. The artworks used here seem to be the same as Gears of War 3, and we also note the presence of COG Soldier, not present in the original game. It is still unclear if, at least for the playable characters, the remastered edition will unify the content of the trilogy.
The short videos show instead some sequences set in the map Canals. The authenticity of this content is ensured by the evident qualitative leap in terms of filters, illumination system, even texture and polygonal modeling. We exclude therefore that it is a fake. Below we offer a video comparison between the different chapters of the saga, including Judgment, to show in detail the differences in terms of graphic and in reaction to the shots.
In the last hours, Spike TV and Gametrailer released a short Teaser of Gears of War: Judgment. The complete video will be available during the premiere of the VGA 2012, airing at 9 ET/6PT of December 7.
In the video we can hear Baird and Kilo Squad pronounce different words:
At this point we just have to wait until Friday to get all the news related to the campaign of GOW: Judgment and the presentation of new boss.
